AuctHouse Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-14

Preamble

These Terms of Service define the conditions for using the Discord bot "AuctHouse" (the "Bot") and related services (the "Service") provided by RoWorx Studio (the "Developer"). All users of the Service ("Users") are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. AuctHouse provides Discord server features including bid-based auctions (Auction), dice lotteries (Dices), timed raffles (Draws), server configuration tools, and maintenance utilities such as archived thread cleanup. Server administrators are responsible for configuring the Bot appropriately, ensuring events comply with Discord's Terms of Service and applicable laws, and managing permissions for creating and managing auctions, dices, and draws. These Terms apply in addition to the RoWorx Studio website Terms of Service.

Article 1 — Application and agreement

1. Users are deemed to have agreed to all provisions of these Terms when they add the Bot to a Discord server or use the Service. 2. These Terms apply concurrently with Discord, Inc.'s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and with the terms of service of any external payment platform designated by the Developer (the "Payment Platform"). 3. Users must meet the minimum age required by Discord's Terms of Service and applicable law in their country or region (generally at least 13 years old, or a higher age if required by local law). Users who do not meet this requirement may not use the Service. 4. If a User is a minor under applicable law, the User must use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Article 2 — Paid plans and payment

1. The Developer offers monthly subscription plans ("Paid Plans") that provide paid features for specific Discord servers ("Target Servers"). 2. Paid Plan pricing, billing timing, and payment methods are as specified by the Developer on the website or on the Payment Platform. 3. Unless the User cancels, Paid Plans automatically renew on the billing date set by the Payment Platform and charges apply for the next period. Users who do not wish to auto-renew must cancel before the next renewal date.

Article 3 — Server-level application and restrictions

1. A Paid Plan applies only to the single Target Server specified by the User at the time of subscription. Separate subscriptions are required to use paid features on multiple servers. 2. As a general rule, the Target Server covered by a Paid Plan cannot be changed to a different server during the subscription period.

Article 4 — Refunds and payment-related disclaimer

1. Paid fees are non-refundable for any reason, including no pro-rata refunds. 2. If a Target Server is deleted or the Bot is removed from it (kick, ban, etc.), the Paid Plan is not automatically cancelled and no refund will be issued. The Developer bears no responsibility if paid features become unavailable as a result. 3. If payment fails due to an expired credit card or similar reasons, the Developer may suspend or restrict paid features on the affected server without prior notice to the User. 4. The Developer bears no responsibility for damages arising from Payment Platform system failures, maintenance, terms changes, or payment errors.

Article 5 — Prohibited conduct

Users must not engage in the following when using the Service: 1. Acts that violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. 2. Acts that place excessive load on the Bot's servers or networks (such as spam). 3. Reverse engineering, analysis, modification of the Bot's programs, or attempts at unauthorized access. 4. Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities in Paid Plans to use paid features without authorization. 5. Illegal gambling, fraud, harassment, unauthorized data collection, or other acts that violate applicable law. 6. Running auctions, dices, draws, or other events through the Bot that violate Discord policies or applicable law. 7. Any other conduct the Developer deems inappropriate.

Article 6 — Changes, suspension, and termination of the Service

1. The Developer may change Bot features, release updates, or modify the scope of free and paid features without prior notice to Users. 2. If continuing development as an individual becomes difficult, or due to rising server costs or similar reasons, the Developer may terminate Paid Plans and the Service as a whole after a notice period (generally one month in advance). 3. In the case of paragraph 2, if charges apply for unused periods after the service end date, the Developer will handle them appropriately in accordance with the Payment Platform's specifications.

Article 7 — Disclaimer

1. The Developer makes no warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, authenticity, or usefulness of the Service. 2. The Developer bears no responsibility for damages to Users or third parties arising from Bot malfunctions, bugs, server downtime, or data loss. 3. Except where required by law, the Developer is not liable for disputes between server members arising from auctions, dices, draws, or other events run through the Bot.

Article 8 — Changes to these Terms

1. The Developer may change these Terms at any time when deemed necessary due to organizational or system changes. 2. Revised Terms take effect when posted on the Service website, Discord server, or other channels designated by the Developer. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Article 9 — Governing law and jurisdiction

1. The interpretation and application of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. 2. Any dispute arising between a User and the Developer regarding the Service or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over the Developer's location as the court of first instance, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
