AuctHouse
How to use AuctHouse — guides for participants and server administrators.
Overview
What AuctHouse is and how events appear in your server.
What is AuctHouse?
AuctHouse is a Discord bot for game communities and MMO guild servers. Each auction, Dices lottery, or Draws raffle is posted as an embed with buttons — you interact directly from Discord.
- •Auction — bid with proxy (auto) bidding; optional buy-it-now to close early
- •Dices — pool rolls with no duplicates; max roll ends instantly
- •Draws — tap Join to enter; winners are picked randomly at the end
Where events live
Each event creates a public thread under a post in the channel configured by your server admins. Bids, joins, and notifications usually happen inside that thread.
Help & command list
Run /help in Discord for a command overview. For event lists, use /my (your active events) or /check (all active events on this server). Detailed guides are on this Support Wiki.
Event lists (/my · /check)
Both commands show an embed visible only to you. Each line shows the event type, title (link to the original post), and end time. More than 10 events? Use the Previous / Next buttons to browse pages.
/my- Your active auctions (bid or watch) and joined Dices/Draws.
/check- All active events on this server.
- •
/my— auctions you bid on or watch, plus Dices/Draws you joined (active only) - •
/check— every active Auction, Dices, and Draws on this server
Auction (bidding)
Bid-based auctions with proxy bidding, optional buy-it-now, anti-snipe, and watch alerts.
Overview
Members compete by bidding. Each auction can optionally set a buy-it-now price so it can close before the timer. A dedicated thread handles chat and notifications.
- •Create — /auction create (title, starting price, duration, optional buy-it-now, description, image URL, etc.)
- •Buy-it-now — optional; must exceed starting price (while live, only above current price)
- •Bid — Bid button with maximum (proxy) limit; max ≥ buy-it-now wins at buy-it-now and ends
- •Buy now button — shown when current price < buy-it-now; confirm to close immediately
- •Anti-snipe — a bid in the last minute extends the end time by one minute
- •Watch — get thread notifications when new bids arrive
- •End — timer, buy-now button, or bid-triggered buy-it-now; shows winner and final price
- •Manage — edit title/description, change or clear buy-it-now, or cancel
Typical duration: 1 hour to 7 days.
How to bid
Open the auction thread and press the Bid button. Enter your maximum bid (proxy limit) in the modal. The bot sets your current bid automatically. If someone outbids you within your limit, the bot raises your bid by the minimum increment until your limit is reached. If your maximum meets or exceeds the buy-it-now price, you win at that price and the auction ends immediately.
First bid
If there are no bids yet, your first bid starts at the auction's starting price (not below it).
Proxy (auto) bidding explained
You only enter one number — your maximum. The displayed price may stay lower until someone competes with you. If a buy-it-now price is set and your maximum meets or exceeds it, you win at the buy-it-now price and the auction ends. Example: current price 100, min increment 10. You set max 500 → you become highest bidder at 100. If another user sets max 200, the price rises to 210 but you keep the lead — your auto-bid beats them within your limit. If they set max 520 instead, the price becomes 510 and they take the lead.
Buy-it-now price
Hosts can set an optional buy-it-now price when creating or editing an auction (from the manage panel while live). When current price is below the buy-it-now price, a Buy now button appears. Confirm to win at the buy-it-now price and close the auction immediately. You can also trigger buy-it-now through bidding: if your maximum bid meets or exceeds the buy-it-now price, you win at the buy-it-now price and the auction ends.
Buy-it-now must be greater than the starting price. While the auction is live, you can only set values greater than the current price.
Watch list
Press Watch on an auction to get notified in the thread when new bids are placed. Press again to remove yourself from the watch list.
When it ends
The auction can end in three ways: • Timer — highest bidder wins when time is up • Buy now button — winner pays the buy-it-now price • Bid-triggered buy-it-now — a max bid at or above buy-it-now closes at that price The thread always shows the final price and winner. If nobody bid and buy-it-now was not used, the auction may end with no winner.
Dices (roll lottery)
Pool-based rolls with no duplicates — highest wins; max roll ends instantly.
Overview
On join, each member draws once from a pool of unique values (1 to the configured max). No two participants get the same roll.
- •Create — /dices create
- •Join — one roll per member from the pool (no re-entry, no duplicate rolls)
- •Leaderboard — top roll and holder shown while active
- •End — instant when max roll is drawn; otherwise at deadline
Typical duration: 1 hour to 3 days.
How to participate
Press Join on the Dices post. The bot assigns one unique integer from the remaining pool (e.g. values 1–100 with no duplicates). You can only join once per Dices. Your roll is shown immediately; if it beats the current leader, the embed updates.
How winners are decided
The participant with the highest roll wins. If someone draws the maximum value, the event ends immediately and that player wins. If the max roll has not been drawn, the highest roll at the deadline wins. If nobody joined, there is no winner.
Dices max duration is 3 days. Duration options are the same short/medium presets as auctions (from 1 hour up to 3 days).
Draws (raffle)
Enter during the window; winners are drawn at random when it closes.
Overview
Press Join to enter before the deadline. When time is up, the bot randomly picks winners.
- •Create — /draws create (set winner count)
- •Join — one entry per user
- •End — winners drawn and announced in the thread
Typical duration: 1 to 20 days. Winners: 1 to 200.
How to enter
Press Join on the Draws post before the deadline. One entry per user. Unlike Dices, your number is not shown — everyone has equal odds until the draw closes.
How winners are picked
When the event ends, the bot randomly selects up to the configured number of winners (1–200) from all participants. Winners are announced in the thread.
Draws can run up to 20 days. Available presets: 1, 3, 5, 7, 15, or 20 days.
Joining events (common)
What participants do
All three event types follow the same basic flow in the post channel:
- •Read the embed card on each post — current price, entrant count, and end time are shown clearly
- •Press Bid, Join, or Buy now (auctions) on the card
- •On auctions, Watch for bid alerts or use buy-it-now when available
- •Results appear when the timer ends or when buy-it-now / max-roll conditions are met
Troubleshooting
Common messages
If something fails, the bot usually replies with a short reason. Here is what they mean:
- •Bid too low — your maximum must be at least the next valid price (starting price or current + min increment)
- •Already joined — you can only enter each Dices or Draws once
- •Not active / already ended — the event timer has expired or was cancelled
- •Too many bids too fast — wait a moment before bidding again
